176 <br />Regulaz Council Meeting . <br />10/21/91 <br />Page Six <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />There were no reports. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board = Mr. Amendola said the Board rnet and passecl a room addition, a <br />deck, and a garage. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said the Board considered a variance on an extension of a <br />garage. It was allowed. ' <br />mete - Mrs. Mills said they aze getting ready to close the books on the Cemetery. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Committee - Mr. Pietrafese said their meering will be held next week. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills said that flu shots will be given on October 23. They have run <br />out of the ability to make appointments for any more shots, however, other communities will be <br />offering the same programe <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the Finance Committee recommends that Council approve the expenditure <br />of $12,030 to Cleveland Trinidad for the asphalt pad at the Service Department for the storage of <br />leaves. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no meeting; no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said the work is complete on the hearse room. The annual Turkey <br />Raffle will be held November 23 at 7:30 p.m. and everyone is invited to participate. She will be <br />selling Turkey Raffle tickets. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Pietrafese and Mrs. Mills said there was no report. <br />Ordinance Review - Mr. Rinker said there are two items on the agenda for Wednesday. One item <br />is regarding sick pay terms and the other item is regarding off-street parking. <br />Planniniz and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Commission met October 7. They con5idered the <br />variance for Mr. Deacon's sign and recommend that Council grant the variance. They recommend <br />that Council deny the variance request for the Progressive sign. Mr. Basile said the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission recommend that the lawsuit for Fisher's Tavern be reinstated because they <br />have not complied with anything we had asked them to do. <br />Recreation - Mr. Pietrafese said the Board met September 18. The Craft Show has been canceled <br />due to lack of response. He said they do not think the baseball card show will materialize. The <br />Haunted Maze was discussed and it was requested if the Board could try to find some volunteers. <br />The Halloween Party will be held October 26 at the Community Room. Mr. Pietrafese said they <br />are tabling any immediate plans for playground equipment and the Recreation Board would like to <br />see the fields used by pemuts issued by the Recreation Board.
