Regular Council Meeting ,
6/20/94
Page Three
Tames Sweeney, 6475 Foxboro, said he think the building is bad enough. A friend of his
came to look at a house for sale on Foxboro. When he saw the building, he said he was
not interested in the house. He thinks the sign will just add insult to injury.
Barbara Lombardo, 6466 Chase Drive, said they have lived in the Village for 23 years.
? They came here because it was a nice, quiet residential area. Now, between traffic and
M that horrendous building... There are many lovely buildings on 1-271 and Rockside and
? no one has an illuminated sign that she is aware of. Mrs. Lombardo said when she
Q called last Friday to give her comments, she asked the purpose of the sign. It looks like
? a big mother ship. A lot of our neighbors said they did not receive the letter.
? Mr. Stephens said he was the one who specified the addresses (to send the letters to.)
He just went down 4-5 houses on Chase and Foxboro--to those he thought were within
eyesight. It was sent to everybody on Beechers Brook.
Agentleman in the audience said we only allow Holiday Inn such a little sign and that
'is a commercial business. If they want a sign like Holiday Inn, he would vote for it.

A woman in the audience, said that a sign like that on a building on a company like
Progressive does not make sense because the only people who have to know where
Progressive is are their employees. You can get Progressive Insurance without ever
going to the Progressive building, unlike WalMart where they have to advertise.
Agentleman in the audience asked if he could get some comments from the
Councilpeople.
IVTrs. Cinco said this item is on the agenda; this is just the "Open Portion" which is for
comments from the audience.
Regular Council Meeting - May 16,1994 - Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a
motion to approve the minutes.
ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Fixler, Mr. Flynn, and
Mr. Stephens
NAYS: None
ABSTAIN: Mr. Ferrante
Motion Carried
Minutes Approved
163
