2fl1.
Regular Council Meeting ,
7/18/94
Page Seven
new hot water tank that he did not need before he left on vacation. Number two--they
fillecl in the drainage ditch in front of his house which changed the pitch of the land.
The water now flows straight towards his house where it never did that before. Now,
11is basement is leaking. He would like to know what can Council or what can he do--
? who is going to compensate him for this?
M Mayor Rinker said the Village will back him up on pressing those points.
M
< Dr. Suit said they broke his split rail fence--but rather than tell him--his neighbors told
z him they nicely nailed it together so you won't see that it is broken.
2 Mr. Diemert said they have liability insurance that will cover those things.
Mayor Rinker said he wants to have a meeting for this.
Mrs. Peto asked how soon they can expect this meeting.
Mayor Rinker said in the next two or three weeks.
Mrs. Lynch asked who they should call if they have a problem.
IViayor IZinker said he wanted to make sure we would have someone that would
respond directly to it. When he sends out the flier, he will include phone numbers. In
the meantime, everyone can call Donna.
Mrs. Graham thanked everybody for listening to their story. She said they all received
letters saying it was corrected but it still stinks, there is garbage and rats.
Teffrev McNall, 6059 Rid e? burX, said the storm sewer goes in between their (his and the
Graham's) houses. For about two or three days after they said they corrected it the
water was real nice when it comes through from the rain. About a week later, it is as
brown as can be again. It smelled so bad he had to go in the house. He has been there
since day one and it has never been this bad; it is getting worse. Something must be
done.
Mary Burns, 6823 Glenview Drive, asked if the trucks and front end loaders and the
bulldozers are allowed to now use Glenview?
Mayor Rinker said no. He asked her to let the Village know if she still sees or hears
trucks.
