222
Special Council Meeting
8/1/94
Page Four
signs, any problems in the Mayfield Village area. They thank Mayfield Village for
allowing them to have signs, but are looking at it from another point of view. Ms.
Goldsmith asked if the Village's cost in policing this in (making sure that the permit fee
of $2.00 is filed) would not be more trouble than the cost of the $2.00 registration? There
has been approximately 70 homes that have transferred a year in the Mayfield Village
area and are wondering why--they are wondering if there has been that much of a
problem with real estate signs going up and not coming down.
Mr. Samac said there is a fee is $1.50 now on signs.
Mrs. Cinco said this ordinance was amended from $3.00 to $2.00 non-refundable. They
aren't changing that much; it is a method of the Village controlling signs. They have no
intention of not allowing signs.
Mr. Fixler said he is pleased that this amendment came forward; he wanted to thank
Council President Cinco publicly.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: 1Vone
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
Third Reading of Ordinance No. 94-35, entitled; "An emergency ordinance amending
portions of Section 1157.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Mayfield which
regulates fencing in certain zoning districts."
