224
Special Council Meeting
8/1/94
Page Six
Mrs. Cinco asked Mr. Cappello if he had more accurate figures on that.
Mr. Cappello said no.
Discussion was held regarding the cap amount for each project.
Mr. Cappello said they have prepared plans for the Oakton Circle project.
Mayor Rinker said it would be logical to begin with that project since they are a little
further along to visualize it.
Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to authorize an expenditure not to
exceed $7,500 for water projects dealing with either/or South Woodlane and Oakton
Circle.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: 1Vone
Beech Hill
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
Mayor Rinker drew an illustration of Beech Hill. He said as a Village entity, we want
the contractor to return the road generally following the specifications that were put in
place for the road to begin with. Part of the problem is the road is 18' wide which is
below standard width; the right-of-way is the same--but the actual road surface is
narrower than typical. I3istorically, residents had not wanted trees sacrificed. He
believes where they can malce realistic and modest improvements over what was there
before, they should do it. For example, driveway culverts should be removed and
replaced. There will be a meeting tomorrow night with residents of that area.
Discussion was held.
Mrs. Cinco said she thinks Council will need to consider this after they have a better
idea of the costs.
Mayor Rinker said he wants to let people know [now] there is a general commitment of
Council.
Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to state Council's commitment,
initially, to $15,000 for costs dealing with the driveway pipe replacement on Beech Hill
Road.
?

?
?
