234
Regular Council Meeting
9/19/94
Page Two
Mayor Rinker said Pat and Joe Banister and Dorothy and Harper Buzek are in the
audience tonight. They are two important couples involved in the community room
renovation who spent an inordinate amount of time on the project. Mayor Rinker read
the list of names included on Resolution No. 94-39 (of inembers of the community room
renovation committee and volunteers who assisted in the renovation), and expressed
thanks to those people also.
Mayor Rinker presented Pat and Joe Banister and Dorothy and Harper Buzek with a
resolution of appreciation and pinned them with a new Village logo pin.
Mr. Hovancsek arrived at this time. (8:03 p.m.)
Mayor Rinker said if people have time, they should take a look at the community room
because it looks nice.
Mayor Rinker read passages of Resolution No. 94-40 of appreciation to Det. Sgt. David
Liggett who recently attended the FBI National Academy. Mayor Rinker explained that
fewer than 1% of the nation's top law enforcement officers have the privilege of
attending the Academy. He said Det. Sgt. Liggett is a credit to his profession, to the
police department and to the community.
Mayor Rinker presented Det. Sgt. David M. Liggett with a resolution of appreciation
and pinned him with a new Village logo pin.
Laura Lynch, 934 Beech Hill Road, said residents are wondering when their road is
going to be completed and asked if Village officials could tell them.
Mayor Rinker said they met last week and he thinks it is finally nailed down. He had
hoped they would start today. He expects it will begin this week. It will take about 30
days to install all of the drive pipes.
1VIrs. Lynch asked if the paving will be done within that 30 days. She also asked if Mr.
De Santis will be there.
Mayor Rinker said that is the goal. He said Mr. DeSantis will be there.
Sean Graham, 6039 Ridgebury, asked what is going on with the creek.
