Special CouncillVleeting
2/1/93
Page Three
Mr. Diemert said this first reading must be by title only. He read the title of Ordinance
No. 93-06: "An ordinance revising fhe zone map of Mayfield Village, Ohio, so as to
amend the use classification of land located at 6447 Wilson Mills Road from its motorist-
service district to local business district." Iraroduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a
tiVhole.
Ordinance No. 93-06 was given first reading.
Mr. Diemert said this ordinance must be referred to the Plarining & Zoning Commission
for their recommendation (although they have already recommended it.) Because a
thirty day notice of a Public Hearing is required, if Council desires they must have a
second reading before Friday.
Mr. Ferrante said he would like to see the plans.
Mrs. Cinco said the Planning and Zoning Commission had a workshop last Thursday.
They dealt with it this evening. It deals with the rezoning at this point, they would still
-- have to go again before Planning and Zoning to get everything approved. They are in
line with our ordinances for setbacks. This will be a great improvement; it will be an
upgrade in our code (going from motorist service to local business.) They are planning
to provide green space, a drive-through window, and parking on the sides and in the
back.
Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Marquardt if there was anything he could enlighten them on
further.
Mr. Marquardt said they met and discussed the project with D.O. Summers. They
questioned the first plan because of the set back; they corrected that. Planning and
Zoning feel it is a good plan and that the question should be placed on the ballot. They
have no problem with it as far as set baclcs.
Mr. Fixler asked if it would be a dry operation or a working plant.
Mrs. Cinco said it would be a combination; they would be doing some worlc on site.
Mr. Fixler asked what dry cleaning chemicals fhey would be using.
A gentleman in the audience (Brett Goldberg) from D.O. Summers said perk.
Mr. Fixler asked if they would be taking up all the environment protections that are
available today.
