Regular Council Meeting
3/15/93
Page 7
• Fire Station Cleaning - She asked if the feeling of the Fire Chief was to go ahead
with Florence Wall Cleaning.
Mr. Fixler said yes.
• Concession Trailer - Mr. Amendola said the dealer will have another trailer for
him to look at next week. There is no other dealer that has a concession-type trailer
available. He said you would have to start with a flatbed trailer and the cost would be
greater. He will look at the one Great Lakes has and report back to Council.
Mayor Rinker said the Activities Committee will be meeting on March 25. They would
probably appreciate some information about this because they will be planning the
picnic this summer.
• 1-1/2 Ton Dump Truck - Mrs. Cinco asked if Safety and Service needs to address
this item, or the Finance Committee.
Mr. Amendola said they have tried to obtain some information through the Ford
dealers. The Ford dealers and some salesman have told us we would be wasting our
time with a bid on one of their trucks because we are looking at Internationals and
Internationals will be cheaper than a Ford. Mr. Amendola said because of the time that
has elapsed he thinks he will have to have a new figure drawn up (if there is one.)
Mrs. Cinco said before they go into New Business, they have asked that Mr. Pasquale be
present to address some snowplowing problems in his section. Council received some
calls over the weekend concerning some sections not being done.
Mayor Rinker said he felt this being so close to the weekend while memories were fresh,
it would give everyone an opportunity to propose questions. He received a number of
calls over the weekend. A number of people who did call made a point of saying that
prior service has been pretty acceptable to them.
Mr. Pasquale said the main problems they experience on Wilson Mills are that they are
fighting traffic, and that the sidewalks are cleaned after they clean the driveway.
Because of the amount of snow, they ran a double shift. Some of the driveways were
skipped because there was no place to put the snow.
