Regular Council Meeting
3/15/93
Page 8
Mr. Amendola said Wilson Mills Road is a difficult street to clean because there is twice
the amount of snow than on any side street. All we can do is ask residents to be patient.
So they will not interfere with the residential snowplowing, they will go back to a snow
blower system for t11e sidewalks. With the blowers, tlley can put the snow where they
want to put it.
Mr. Fixler said the main objection that he has--the main problem was trying to contact
Mr. Pasquale to let him know he had not gotten to these houses. Getting an answering
machine will not be very effective. Mr. Fixler said he would like to see some kind of
system implemented where Mr. Pasquale could be beeped so he could go back to get
the driveways he missed. He thinks the residents find it very frustrating that there is no
one on the other line that they can talk to.
A gentleman in the audience said he has been a Village resident since 1964. He thinks
the people who plow the snow are doing a pretty decent job considering the conditions.
Mr. Flynn said Mr. Pasquale and his organizations are the best we have had in the
history of snowplowing in Mayfield Village.
Mr. Ferrante said Bordonaro has also done an excellent job.
Mr. Amendola said at this point he has not received a report from any residents
regarding property damage.
Mr. Pasquale asked if the Village Officials could talk to the Postmaster to ask if the
mailboxes could be changed to the other side of the apron so they can push the snow
with the flow of traffic.
NEW BUSINESS:
• Heinen's request for variances
Mrs. Cinco said Planning and Zoning addressed both variances this evening, separately,
and as Mr. Basile reported-they approved both.
Mr. Diemert said the first item to consider is the request for a variance on the minimum
parking space requirement for a variance of 19 parking spaces.
Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to grant a variance of 19 parking
spaces to Heinen's (860 S.O.M. Center IZoad.)
?

?
?
