He read excerpts from their letter
supporting the acceptance of financial assistance (as offered by D.O.P.W.I.C.) by the
Village.
Mayor Rinker explained the need for easements from the residents (the Merkels and
Simeks) for this project. He said it is not just a matter of cleaning the Peirce's pond, this
is needed in order to develop an effective water management control system.
Mayor Rinker and Mr. Hovancsek explained the course of construction.
Mr. Ferrante asked if the Village had the monies for this project and if Mr. Brett was
supposed to be at this meeting.
Mayor Rinker said Mr. Brett could not be here this morning. The monies are included
in the proforma. We must borrow the monies, but we have dollars earmarked for this
project. Mayor Rinker said he sees no justification not to proceed.
