Regular Council Meeting <br />4/19/93 <br />Page Ten <br />Mrs. Leppla asked if there was any way to get the grid before their meeting Wednesday <br />evening. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said yes. <br />Recreation Silver Anniversary Committee - Mayor Rinker said they did not meet this <br />month so they will not have a report at this time. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Fixler said Chief Mohr explained an ordinance they would like <br />which would affect any house greater than R2--requiring sprinklers to be installed. <br />Mrs. Cinco said it has been referred to the Ordinance Review Committee. <br />Mr. Fixler said Chief Stevens has requested L,ETN training. The Blazer will be ready to <br />pick up in about two weeks. <br />Mr. Fixler said the Safety and Service Committee thought warning strips for the bike <br />path would be worthwhile; Chief Stevens will check with Mr. Hovancsek about this. <br />The Committee feels the logging tape recorder at a cost of $22,000 is worthwhile. <br />Chief Stevens explained the equipment is compact and could be relocated to a new <br />facility; they must restructure the way they stack things but will not have to remodel. <br />He explained the marking and changing of tapes. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked Council's pleasure--if they wanted to consider this tonight. Including <br />tapes and installation, the total cost will be $28,000. <br />Mr. Brett explained that with this item and others, they will be "maxed out" on capital <br />fund expenditures. <br />Mrs. Cinco said this could be discussed at Caucus and if there is a need for a special <br />meeting, they can go ahead with its approval at that time. <br />Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, and Chief Stevens to sit down to discuss this item. <br />Water District Committee - Mrs. Cinco said we have not resolved a meeting date with <br />the Walnut group. <br />Mayor Rinker suggested the first week in May since so much is on the calendar. <br />? <br />? <br /> <br />? <br />,?
