Regular Council Meeting 5/17/93 Page Five ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None COMMElVTS FROM MAYOR RINKER: Motion Carried Minutes Approvecl Mayor Rinker said we had a very successful Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast. We do not have all of the receipts in yet, however, it looks as though we have probably netted about $1,000. As usual, it was a very popular event. We had beautiful weather that day and had a lot of people volunteering. The spirit of the event is so nice. It is good to see that each year it becomes more successful. COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT CINCO: Mrs. Cinco said to address the comments about '50s Night, in essence this has taken over for our Home Days. The idea of the '50s Night was tried and was so successful the idea was let's come together as a community and show goodwill and show other people what we can do in one night's time and not have the expense of a 3-5 day home day event. Mrs. Cinco said let's hope for good weather again! DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS; Mr. Amendola said he wanted to respond to the fact of two cars being parked in the north end of town for sale. He had these run through the Police Department when he saw them this morning. Both cars do belong to the owner of that home. Mr. Hovancsek said bids were received for street striping, concrete street and other work in the municipality. Mrs. Cinco said these items are on the agenda tonight. Mr. Diemert said the Service Director gave him a quote that he has now received for a concession trailer for $5,695. Legislation was not prepared because he did not have the information last Friday, but it is his opinion Council could authorize the purchase of this item by motion if Council is so inclined. STANDING COMMIT°TEE REPORTS: Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Architectural Review Board met and passed on a room addition and a new single-family dwelling.
