Flynn said they discussed the '93-94 wage ordinance for employees and suggest it <br />be passed at the Regular Meeting in June retroactive to January 1st. They have also <br />discussed the contract employees and have recommended certain increases for the <br />I'rosecutor, the Law Director, ancl have accepted the proposed field rates for the <br />Engineer and an adjustment on his retainer. Mr. Flynn said we will have to adjust the <br />Human Services Director and Recreation Director by a slight margin. They will refer <br />the Animal Warden to the Mayor as he understands there is further discussion on that. <br />Mr. Flynn reported they discussed the fireworks, collectively $7,000 with $5,000 from <br />Mayfield Village and $2,000 from Gates Mills. Additionally, they recommend passing <br />Ordinance No. 93-27. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no meeting. <br />Historical Societv - Mr. Busa said the Historical Society makes the following report. The <br />annual Arbor Day celebration was a huge success. Attendance exceeded 200 people. <br />Mr. Busa gave an update on the Historical House renovation. The next fund raiser will <br />be the annual Ice Cream Social on September 8. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they met May 13. They discussed the new summer program <br />and hope to incorporate a new magic school in the fall as one of their programs. <br />Ordinance Review - Mrs. Cinco said they met twice since the last Regular Meeting. <br />They are setting up their way of handling requests that come to the Committee. They <br />anticipate going through the code book for a lot of the things that have been put aside <br />over the years. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said they met May 3. Regarding the Jefferson Park <br />properties, Mr. Schulte said a letter was sent to Mr. Simon about his occupancies. Mr. <br />Hovancsek has submitted a review of the site plan regarding the lot split request for <br />Village Trails. Mr. Schulte said the review of the Master Plan will be done at the <br />Workshop IVleeting. Information on the request for a sign set back variance for <br />Dazzler's will also be submitted for the Workshop Meeting on May 20. <br />IZecreation - Mrs. Leppla said they met Apri121. They discussed the Easter Party and <br />the Summer Play Camp. Right now, they have approximately 40 sign-ups. The <br />swimming lessons are in the process of being formulated. There has been some strong <br />recommendations to Mr. Ross from the Board about safety this year and instructors. <br />Softball season starts the second week in June. At the time of the meeting, there were 80 <br />girls signed up for the 10-13 girls league; she talked to Elliot Friday, they have 110 girls.
