Regular Council Meeting <br />6/21/93 <br />Page Ten <br />Mr. Brett had any comments on the insurance package or any other item, to address it at <br />this time. <br />Mr. Brett said there was an increase of less than $5,000 in premiums; they are getting a <br />total of about 5,000,000 additional coverage in areas where he believes we could use the <br />additional coverage. All in all, he believes it is a good package. <br />Mr. Flynn said they would like to hold off on the transport vehicle at this time. Mr. <br />Flynn said the committee would like to go ahead with Ordinance No. 93-29 for LETN <br />($3,516.) He said they would like to request Council approval of the traffic signal <br />control maintenance contract for $2,894 for the next 12 months. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no meeting; he had no <br />report. <br />Mavfield Township Historical Society - Mr. Busa said 30 new bricks have been added to <br />the memorial walk at the new house. He described other renovation work. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said there was no meeting; the next meeting will be July 1st. <br />Ordinance Review - Mrs. Cinco said they met June 8. In July, they will be asking Mr. <br />Diemert for things to present to Council that possibly will need to be on the ballot in the <br />f all. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said they met June 7. They did not receive anything <br />from jefferson Park ProperEies or Dazzlers. There was a lot split at sublot 11 Village <br />Trails. There was a lot of concern about the driveway. He reported Chief Mohr's <br />recommendations. <br />Recreation - Mrs. Leppla said they met June 18. Mrs. Leppla said she was honored to <br />present the Debbie Hudacko scholarship at the Mayfield High School on behalf of the <br />Recreation Board and Mayfield Village. The recipients were Steve Maschke and Jessica <br />Alexander. Mrs. Leppla thanked Mr. Ainendola and the Service Department for their <br />hard work on the playground. Mrs. Leppla stated the concerns and recommendations <br />of the Recreation Board regarding the playground (as expressed earlier by Recreation <br />Director Shelly Kovacevic.) Mrs. Leppla said one child was already injured by the <br />stones (her daughter). In addition to removal of the stones, the Board recommends the <br />fenced-in area be totally filled with loose fill material (6" of wood mulch and 6" chips.) <br />Mrs. Leppla reported that 75 children attended the summer play camp. Four hundred <br />fifty children and adults have signed up for softball this year. The Recreation Board is <br />continuing to work on the Craft Show. The Debbie Hudacko Race and Walk is July 18.
