v,
Regular Council Meeting
8/16/93
Page Thirteen
Mrs. Cinco said the reason this was slated, in my own mind, for the Caucus agenda was
so we could collect information. Mr. Bloomfield told me Monday that he was sending
me a personal letter requesting to be put on the agenda for Council. I want all of you to
know that letter was copied without me seeing it or opening it. No one in the Mayor's
Office was given permission to copy Council the letter. A copy was copied from the
Mayor's. This was slated for Caucus so we could come in with facts and figures. I
know no more than anyone else does. Mrs. Cinco said she will open this (the floor) to
the residenfs.
A resident in the audience said jeanne Leppla is a resident as well as Ward Council4.
Would you like to start Jeanne?
Mrs. Leppla asked Mr. Hovancsek if there is 26' in addition on the south side of Wilson
Mills Road to be cut out as you see it on the map.
Mr. Hovancsek said he believes it is an additiona125 feet. It is tapered; to the west it is
smaller than 13 but it hits that standard. number as it approaches Progressive drive. The
area east starts out with an addition of a 12 and a 13, so it basically starts with 2lanes
and then it feathers into the existing and tapers out almost to the ramp itself. It would
be a 25' addition.. East of 'the drive, approximately 75' is another series of numbers;
there (on the south side of the street) it is also 25' additional paving.
Mrs. Leppla said you are talking 25' additional up to that park-like setting that we have
and 13' on the west side and 13' on the east side of the driveway.
Mr. Hovancsek clarified they are talking 25' on the west side and 25' on the east side of
Progressive's drive (in addition to what is there.)
Mrs. Leppla said she would hope to have residents on this committee. There will be
some unhappy residents with the idea that we would be asked to pay for this. The fact
that we are jutting into the 90' buffer and there were some residents who were unhappy
with the present width of the driveway. These are all things we need to continue to talk
about.
Mr. Hovancsek said he will be glad to look into it; this is just the beginning.
Tim Bencic from, Worton Park asked if the right lane is supposed to be a continuous
right lane like we have for getting onto 271 going south. Does that mean that everyone
going eastbound coming eastbound on Wilson Mills will not stop in front of Worton
