YZegular Couricil Meeting
9/20/93 . .
Page Fourteen .
liilayor Rinker said if we know we are already over-burdened on Wilson Mills, what is
the capacity for change up on Highland. It is something we should address now.
He asked if the matter (of a bigger study) was how much the Village is willing to pay.
Mr. Zima said that is something the Village should ask N.O.A.C.A. They would be
happy to phrase the question to them for the Village.
Discussion was held including conversation about traffic counts.
Mrs. Leppla asked about overhead signs that would have dual arrows on it--so people
would know they can't enter into that lane because it is a turn lane.
Lt. Jay said that would be on Highland Heights' side of the street so they must consult
with them.
Highland/SOM Intersection Improvement Update
Mrs. Cinco said she thinks they went through that pretty quickly; they will look for that
item on their next agenda.
Upper 40
Mr. Hovancsek said we need to set.up a meeting as quickly as possible with the
residents involved so that we can get an understanding of the location and the rights-of-
entry needed so they can prepare the plans, et cetera.
Ordinance No. 93-32, entitled; "An emergency ordinance amending Sections 1181.03(a),
1181.06, and 1181.07(a) of the Codified Ordinances relating to minimum frontage and
side yards in the single-family residential disirict." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and
Council as a Whole. (First Reading 7/19/93, Second Reading, Suspended & Enacted
8/16/93.) Mr. Diemert said although this ordinance was previously enacted, at this time if Council
were unhappy with the reports of the various Boards and Commissions and were
inclined to want to withdraw this from the ballot, tonight would be the time to make a
motion to have this withdrawn from the ballot. Otherwise, it will remain adopted and
will go on to be considered by the voters.
