Regular CounciT Meeting _ <br />9/20/93 <br />Page Three <br />Mrs. Cinco said there is a resolution on the agenda (commending ABC Quilts.) <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular Council Meeting - August 16,1993 - Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a <br />motion to approve the minutes. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approveci <br />S12ecial Council Meeting - August 23,1993 - Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Leppla, made <br />a motion to approve the minutes. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker said there is a Wilson Mills traffic study is in the offing; it pertains to the <br />Progressive development. A Worton Park Meering was held a couple of weeks ago and <br />a Wilson Mills Traffic Coalition Meeting. The upshot of the Traffic Coalition Meeting is <br />to support an impact study that N.O.A.C.A. will be undertaking. They will study the <br />traffic effects on Wilson Mills from Lander to S.O.M. Center Road. It will be used as <br />foundational information to look to some long-term changes in that area. There is also a <br />committee of Worton Park homeowners who met this evening. Progressive Insurance <br />Company has agreed to pay for the study. We, as the community, have to make the <br />application. Mayor Rinker said he has asked Council to approve the application, at <br />least in form, to be able to get that project underway. <br />Mayor Rinker said he and Council are not looking forward to the expansion of I-271. <br />They have maintained a position of not favoring it. They have been asked to approve <br />this and he, reluctantly, is request Council do this and try to move forward and get as <br />much positive out of this as they possibly can. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Amendola asked if Council would consider a two-year package on the snow <br />removal specifications. There would be no additional advertising or additional <br />increases.
