Regular Council Meeting <br />9/20/93 <br />I'age Six <br />Chief Mohr reported the Fire Deparhnent is flushing hydrants now. They have signs in <br />the neighborhoods. <br />Mr. Brett said he will defer report until the Finance Committee says what we discussed <br />there. - <br />STAIVDING COMMITTEE IZEPORTS <br />Activities Committee - Mayor Rinker said the committee will hold a de-briefing meeting <br />on September 30. They will review events held during the spring and summer and set <br />up a budget for these programs for next year. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board met and passed on a single- <br />family dwelling and a deck. <br />Board of Appeals- Mr. Amendola said they were not required to meet this month. <br /> <br />Cem?eterv,_ - Mr. Fixler said they are meeting Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the cemetery to <br />go over details and discuss a monument for the Williams' family. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - IVIrs. Cinco said they met August 24. Af this time minutes <br />have not been distributed. They went over storm damage, Highland/SOM and <br />Progressive. <br />Commission on A inz - Mr. Busa said the flu shot program in conjunction with the <br />Cuyahoga County Board of Health will be Monday, October 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. <br />Inoculations will be administered in the Community Room for adults at least 60 years of <br />age or chronically ill individuals between 22 and 60. The cost remains at $5 per person. <br />I2egistration for the flu shots is Monday, September 27 between 1 and 3 p.m. or <br />Wednesday, September 29 between 10 a.m. and noon. On October 6, the Senior Gentry <br />will have their annual fall foliage trip; going to Malibar Farms, Kingwood Gardens, and <br />Mohican State Park. Bocce has been suspended during the excavation and construction <br />at Wiley Park. There will be a program'on Alaska (by Norm and Nancy Rozell) in the <br />community room on October 27. Their last picnic of the season is today. Due to the <br />vveather, it will be held in the Community Roorn. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Fixler said the committee met September 7. They discussed the <br />sidewalk snow plow. Mr. Amendola had indicated to have an overhaul on that <br />machine would run $11,000; to replace the unit would be $50,000. However, he has <br />come up with another piece of equipment that would suitable. It is made by the
