Council Meeting --
10/18/93
Page Five ? Mr. Flynn said he did no remember the exact disposition and asked Mr. Ferrante if he
wanted to report. Mr. Ferrante said we were going to have to pay the engineering fees for tYte Upper 40
and we will get them back that amount plus on Issue II funding.
Mr. Brett commented on the transfers--he was letting Council know ahead of time that
two new funds have been created: the Upper 40 Capital Improvement Fund and
SOM/Highland Capital Improvement Fund. Both are designated as Issue II. We will
need to transfer some dollars there for our contribution. Regarding the Ohio Building
Stanciards--there was a time lag between the time we were able to assess an additional
fee and the time the fees were applicable. His understanding was that the fees were
applicable 8 days before the law passed. This is just to cover the interim there.
Mrs. Cinco said, regarding the B.F.I. contract, we neeci to advise them before the
November lst deadline if we want to go with them for the yard waste. We can discuss
that more later.
Mr. Brett said there was $12,000 appropriated for softball, so $9,000 is significantly less
than what was appropriated.
Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no report.
Historical Societv - Mr. Busa said the Mayfield Township Historical Society reports that
restoration work is continuing in the south wing, the sub-floor for the handicapped
lavatory is being put in place, new windows for the kitchen and bedrooms are at the
house and ready to be put in place. The annual Turkey Raffle will be held on
November 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mayfield Village Community Room.
M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said M.A.R.C. met this month. The annual M.A.R.C. Art Show is
being held this weekend in Mayfield Heights. The particulars are in the VOICE OF
TI-E VILLAGE. They are busy at work on their code regulation and working on
insurance problems.
Ordinance Review - Mrs. Cinco said they met last Tuesday. Mr. Diemert is working on
an ordinance dealing with political signs. He has had experience in dealing with this
and has offered quite a few suggestions. There was a lot of input from Ordinance
Review. It will come to Caucus as soon as it is ready. We also had discussion of
extension of sanitary and storm lines to rear yards for all new construction, dealing in
particular with pools being built.
