Regular Council Meeting <br />10/18/93 <br />Page Seven <br />Mrs. Cinco said before she goes into "Old Business", she would like to amend the <br />agenda and ask for approval to include under "Old Business": the Bombadier snow <br />plow; under 'New Business": Resolutions 93-28, 93-29, 93-30 and 93-31 (which have <br />been asked for by Mrs. Mikula dealing with people from the original Recreation <br />Committee.) <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to amend the agenda to include the <br />items Mrs. Cinco stated above. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />A brief discussion was held regarding the Bombadier snow plow. <br />Mr. Amendola said he has received bids from 3 companies. Prices run between <br />$18,000-19,000 for new ones. He thinks we should sell the old one if we are going to <br />purchase a new one. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked when he needs approval on the purchase of a new one. <br />Mr. Amendola said he will probably need it in about 3 weeks (when it snows.) <br />Mrs. Cinco said Council will await information from Gus and will call a Special Council <br />Meeting at Caucus if necessary. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Beech Hill Update - Mayor Rinker said there was a second meeting of Beech Hill <br />neighborhod residents about the proposed open-cut sewer and the Inter Community <br />Relief Line. Mr. Odeal returned from vacation a day early and attended the meeting <br />along with other key players. The bottom line is that N.E.O.R.S.D. has determined they <br />are not going to fund a tunnel. That has a$500,00 price tag above and beyond the <br />current contract that contemplates an open cut. That generated a lot of discussion. <br />Residents on Beech Hill have looked very favorably at a tunnel. Mr. Odeal indicated <br />that was their. decision (not to fund a tunnel.) The ball is in our court. Mayor Rinker <br />said he had previously asked Joe Diemert to give us an opinion. We are going to have <br />to take a lot into consideration if we are going to sue N.E.O.R.S.D. Apart from the <br />tunneling aspect along, there was much more discussion about the open cut and how it <br />would be handled. A lot of attention was paid to the haul road situation. We have
