Regular Council Meeting
3/18/96 '
Page 10
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Motion Withdrawn
Council President Fixler said he would like to amend that motion not to exceed
$5,300 (instead of $5,000.) He asked Chief Stevens if he was sure that would cover it.
Chief Stevens said he is hoping so.
Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to authorize an expenditure
not to exceed $5,300 for the purchase of one patrol car video surveillance system
from Kustom Signals, Inc.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
Fire Station Furnishings - B&B A1212liance -$9,690.00
Mr. Marquardt asked Chief Mohr to give Couricil a run down of what the items are.
Chief Mohr said the appliances (dishwasher, washer dryer, refrigerator, stove, etc.)
were part of the architectural bid package. He said we saved $1,500 by removing this
from the bid. We went to about 8-9 appliance stores ourselves and B&B gave us the
best price. Chief Mohr said he does not have the itemization in front of him, but he
could provide it. Chief Mohr returned with some information about the proposal.
The largest amount is for a commercial range.
After a brief discussion, Chief Mohr said he was not sure of the amount for the
commercial range. He said he will look into this and get back to.Council.
Mr. Buckholtz said it may be advantageous for the Fire Station to have commercial
equipment. He suggested Chief Mohr contact the restaurant fixture places
downtown for pricing on the commercial range.
Chief Mohr asked if Council would consider approving the expenditure for the
other appliances this evening--and he will get back to them about the range.
Council President Fixler asked Council to consider making a motion not to exceed
$3,100 for the purchase of appliances for the fire station from B&B Appliance.
