Regular Council Meeting <br />5/20%96 <br />Page 4 <br />Council President Fixler asked Chief Mohr and Mr. Cappello to coordinate the <br />relocation of the sign. <br />Activities Committee - Mayor Rinker said they have been busy getting ready for '50s <br />Night and July 6th. The Voice of the Village will be delivered the weekend of '50s <br />Night (June 15) or the weekend after. A flier publicizing July 6 will be included in <br />the Voice of the Village. The Gazebo concerts will begin after July 6. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the last meeting was Apri125. The <br />A.R.B. approved a new home, swimming pool and addition. <br />Board of Appeals - The last meeting was April 16. The B.O.A. approved placement <br />of two signs in the north end of the Village (one facing I-271 and one on S.O.M.) <br />indicating property is available. <br />Ce? - Dr. Parker said on May 6, 40 students from 9th grade at Mayfield High <br />Schaol participated in a Community Volunteer Day at Mayfield Union Cemetery. <br />They cleared, dug, planted, added mulch and did a wonderful job. The Garden Club <br />provided drinks and desserts in the Community Room. Dr. Parker has some photos <br />for the Voice of the Village. One of the teachers suggested this be done every year as <br />Spring clean-up. <br />Citizen's advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco had no report. Mayor Rinker said there will <br />be a meeting next Tuesday night (and Council could be at the meeting as well) to <br />follow up on the presentation made to residents about the preliminary plans from <br />C.S.U. Mayor Rinker said he put a note in everyone's packets and wants to get <br />feedback about ways to start to channel the information being developed so people <br />can understand it. Mr. Marquardt has come up with a workable framework. He got <br />some ideas from John Barni as well. The meeting we will have next Tuesday will be <br />a workshop meeting with a nucleus of people. It will be held May 28 at 7:30 p.m. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills (COA member in the audience) said they had <br />about 55 people at their Anniversary Party last Saturday and the party was very <br />nicely done. <br />
