Regular Council Meeting
October 21, 1996
Page 1-0
1VIr. Hovancsek said the contractor removed the pipe and got into position today. He will start
tomonow morning. The work should be done by November 9t''. That gives us approximately 20
days to put down the surface. Mr. Cappello said he has been in contact with Willoughby Hills.
They are thinking about putting down a layer of pavement to get through the winter. The pavement
on White Road is checkered and in terrible shape.
Mayor Rinker asked the Village Engineer to prepare a letter [to Willoughby Hills] for his signature
sta.ting the opinion of the Village Engineer and outlining the problems if the resurfacing is not done.
If an option is a single layer-would that be a band-aid effect? We need a commitment from them;
we will not commit funds if they are not going to reimburse us.
1VIr. I3ovancsek explained that White Road is a poorly constructed road. They might want to do
some interim resurfacing now-and the soft spots will show up in the Spring.
Nlrs. Cinco asked if they will pay their share of the engineering fees-she thinks we have incurred
some engineering fees already.
Mr. Cappello further explained the problem with the road.
Wilson Mills Corridor
1VIr. Cappello said the Commissioners passed it. 1VIr.13ovancsek asked if Council could make a
motion to indicate they will accept the contract.
1VTr. Busa, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to indicate the intention of Council to enter into a
contract for the Wilson Mills Corridor.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Council intends to enter into contract
First Reading of Ordinance No. 96-35, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing and directing
the-Mayor to enter into a contract with North American Salt Company." Introduced by Mayor
Rinker and Council as a Whole.
M. Busa, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an
ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
u
'
?
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
