Regular Council Meeting <br />5-17-99 <br />Page 10 <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the Board met May 13. They approved two signs <br />and one addition to a residential dwelling. <br />Board of Appeals- Mr. Samac said there was no meeting. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said the children from the 9th -Grade Civic Class will be working at the <br />Historical House and Mayfield Union Cemetery tomorrow. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco said they met Apri126. They discussed the new pool, and <br />spent a lot of time on the widening of S.O.M. Center Road. They have requested input for that <br />project. They also talked about street repairs; most have been completed. <br />Commission on Agimg - Mr. Busa read the report submitted by Mrs. Kalina. (A copy is attached <br />to the minutes.) <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the committee discussed the laser pointer ordinance which <br />is on tonight's agenda. They request it be left on first reading because there will be some <br />changes to it. They also discussed the service employees and other items which were addressed <br />at the special meeting following the Safety and Service Meeting. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Fixler said the Committee met this evening. There were 13 items on <br />the agenda. (A copy ofthe agenda is attached to the minutes.) The Committee recommends <br />approval of items #1, #2, #3. They discussed item #4 (for the sale of the used water pump.) They <br />also discussed #5 (regarding an agreement with Coke.) Mr. Fixler said the committee has some <br />opposition to that. (This will be discussed when it comes up on the agenda.) The committee <br />recommends approval of items #6, 7, 8. Regarding #9, the committee, at this point, has not <br />recommended entering into a contract with Joan Horowitz for concessions at Parkview Pool. <br />This item will be discussed when it comes up on the agenda along with item #10 for the purchase <br />of concession equipment. The committee recommends approval of items #11, #12 and #13. <br />Mr. Thomas said item 413 was for 12 starting blocks for the pool. We only need 11 so he would <br />like to change the amount that Council approves to $17,258. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said Council has received an invitation to the <br />breakfast this Saturday at Landerhaven and asked everyone to please respond. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said the Mother's Day Tea Party display with the ladies wearing <br />their gowns attracted 48 visitors. Everyone enjoyed having their pictures taken next to the early <br />1900's vignette at the Service Department. Five tours were given in April, 4 axe scheduled in <br />May and one in June. <br />M.A.R.C - Mrs. Cinco said everyone received the April8th minutes. M.A.R.C. also met tonight <br />at 7 p.m.
