Regular Council Meeting <br />1/16/95 Page Two <br />Regular Council Meeting - january 16,1995 - Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a <br />motion to approve the minutes. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Special Council Meeting- january 25,1995 - Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made <br />a motion to approve the minutes. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All* <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />*Note: Mrs. Cinco stated later during this meeting that she wished to change her vote <br />to abstain on the January 25 minutes. <br />Mayor Rinker said he has a few oaths to administer. First, he would like to welcome <br />Ron Brooks from G.F.O.A. <br />Mr. Brooks said he is from Summit County; he is the Director of Budget Management <br />and is a State Representative to the G.F.O.A. Mr. Brooks explained that each annual <br />budget document submitted for their review is evaluated using comprehensive criteria. <br />The document must meet the high standards and requirements of the G.F.O.A. program <br />to receive the distinguished budget award. Mr. Brooks presented Mayor Rinker and <br />Mr. Brett with the Distinguished Budget Award. <br />Public Hearing of Council - January 9,1995 - Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a <br />motion to approve the minutes. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mayor Rinker said he wants to share some information that was finally confirmed <br />through the D.O.P.W.I.C. today. He explained that the D.O.P.W.I.C. is a regional <br />agency that is in charge of overseeing the distribution of funds on an annual basis. We <br />are in the ninth year for distribution of those funds. It is kind of a lottery system; it pits <br />communities against one another in competition for dollars. We have had two major <br />public works projects that were applied for funding: North County Trunk Sewer Line
