Regular Council Meeting <br />March 20, 1995 <br />Page Four <br />Activities Committee - Mayor Rinker said the Committee met and talked about `50s <br />Night and the Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast. He asked everyone on Council and <br />in the audience who wants to volunteer to let us know. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac reported the Board met on March 9. They <br />reviewed a few proposals. The Spaghetti Company is out; the building will be <br />occupied by the Revco Drug Store. The Board also discussed an addition to a single <br />family home and the proposed additional classrooms for the high school. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac reported the Board did not meet; there were no <br />agenda items. <br />Cem_ e Mr. Buckholtz said there will be a meeting April 1st. Mr. Buckholtz said <br />he has spoken to the Highland Heights and Mayfield Heights representatives. They <br />are very excited about the idea of a Village greenskeeper. They had Gary O'Kelly <br />(who the historical house sign) look at the Cemetery sign. They will refer the <br />information Mr. O'Kelly presents to the Historical Society and Council to get their <br />opinions on it. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco said they met February 27. Jim Mason was <br />elected Chairman; Shirley Aveni, Secretary. Mrs. Cinco said they are looking more <br />to Citizen's Advisory this year as an overall PR group to let the citizens know what <br />Council and the Mayor's visions are for the community. With that in mind, they <br />have decided to meet monthly. The next meeting will be next Monday, after the <br />special Council meeting, March 27 at 8 p.m. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa said the Chairman of the Commission on Aging <br />sends the following report: The April 19 trip to see Forever Plaid at the Allen <br />Theatre is filled. Reservations do remain open for the August 9 trip to Ohio Light <br />Opera in Wooster. The inter-generational activities with Mayfield High School <br />students have been completed. Highlights of this extraordinary cultural exchange <br />will be aired on channel 61 (Channel 37 on Cablevision) from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, <br />Apri12 (tentative date). Our "Getting to Know You" program with Mayfield Center <br />School students meets for the second session tomorrow and will continue with one <br />session in April and one in May. The Cards and Crafts groups continue to meet on <br />alternate Tuesdays. The Anniversary Party is May 20. Many reservations have <br />already been received. Bocce officially begins Thursday, April 20. We may meet <br />earlier if good weather continues.
