They
discussed the following items:
1. Drainage Plan for Wiley Park Ball Fields ($5,000) and Installation of Bleachers
$1,000). Council received copies of the one quotation received for the
drainage plan (Countryview); whatever Council's pleasure is on these items
tonight.
2. Car Lift for the Police Department -$4,100. Mr. Flynn asked Chief Stevens if
he was familiar with both companies. He was not so Mr. Flynn asked if Chief
Stevens would check their record for longevity, equipment et cetera.
3. $5,000 deductible to Scottsdale Insurance Co. for the Wilson case - Mr. Flynn
said the bottom line is the Village must pay the insurance deductible for this
claim plus an additional $2.847 for our own Law Director's firm. Mr. Flynn
said he is not quite sure where we go from here. Mr. Flynn said he wants
everyone to know he does not think we need this type of builder in town.
Mayor Rinker said the suit was dismissed as to the Village.
4. SPAN - 1995 Dues -$3,500. Mr. Flynn said they were pleased that the dues are
less than last year.
5. Activities Committee Petty Cash Fund - Ordinance 94-11. They have no
problem with that if Council has none.
6. Ordinances 95-12 through 14 regarding issuance of notes for the Fire Station,
Highland/SOM and the Quint Fire apparatus. If there are any questions, he is
sure Mr. Brett can handle them.
7. Ordinance 95-15 - EDP - Mr. Flynn said they have read it over; they seem
quite thorough. Their only question is--are they the only show in town, or
can we possibly get a quote from another company. New Petty Cash Account - Recreation Committee - They have no problem if
Council has no problem.
12. Hospitalization Agreement - Community Mutual - Approximately a 5%
increase. The Finance Committee would like to recommend approval unless
there are other questions.
