Regular Council Meeting <br />4/24/95 <br />Page Nine <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Flynn said the Committee met this evening. They <br />discussed the following: <br />1) Dental plan and the mechanics of obtaining the best price. They recommend <br />approval to Council. <br />2) Proposed expenditure of $6,000 to Coyote Rainbow Company for display of the <br />fireworks. They recommend moving ahead. <br />3) Classic Lawn Care - They will have to hear or see some type of financial figure on <br />that. <br />4) Adler's ($9,999) - They recommend moving ahead. <br />5) Authorization to advertise for the repair and resurfacing of Village streets <br />(concrete, asphalt, cracksealing and rejuvenation.) They recommend moving ahead <br />with that. <br />6) Expansion of the Community Room - They would like to discuss the bids that <br />have come in. , <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said they met April 8. The guest <br />speakers were Congressman Louis Stokes and Congressman Steven LaTourette. <br />Mayor Rinker attended and Joanne Cinco who is Treasurer. Council has copies of <br />the minutes of that meeting. <br />Historical Societv - Mr. Basile said the flooring in the south wing has been started. <br />Two inside doors have been installed. The open house for Arbor Day on April 28 <br />has been canceled due to construction on the first floor of the house. The Mayfield <br />Village Garden Club will still have their portion of the Arbor Day ceremony. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they met Apri16. A new program will be introduced--it <br />will be Family Ventures. They will run events to different things for families <br />including the Cleveland Ballet (using Lolly the Trolley.) The next upcoming event <br />is the track meet which is scheduled for Saturday, June 3 with a rain date of June 10. <br />This year, 3rd graders will be invited to join 4th and 5th graders. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said they did not meet this month. They <br />will be meeting May 3 for the first time in a couple of months. <br />Planning & Zoning Commission - Mr. Ferrante said the Commission met April 3. <br />The items for discussion included a sign variance for Revco (color and size). <br />Planning and Zoning voted not to grant this variance, but the sign variance was all <br />right. They also discussed a lot split for the DeMarco/Koren property; no decisions <br />were made. They discussed a sign variance for 760 Beta Drive and felt that would be <br />okay.
