The poles will be 29' (the poles there now are 15-18');
they will illuminate the area much better at that height. Two poles will light
up the parking lot; one will illuminate the area by the volleyball and bocce
courts.
Council President Fixler said this will be done on a contract basis with a five-
year leasing arrangement. The cost will be $134.65/month for five years.
Mayor Rinker asked if this is a preferable system and what options, if any, are
there to put something up that would be as effective, but cheaper.
Mr. Buckholtz said nothing that comes close to this; this secures the entire
area.
Mr. Ferrante asked what fund this will come out of.
Mayor Rinker said as with every improvement, it should come out of the
General Fund. This will light up Wiley Park.
Mr. Buckholtz, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to authorize the
Mayor and Council President to enter into a five-year contract with C.E.I. for
lighting at Wiley Park.
