They discussed the question of <br />whether the M.A.R.C. track meet will continue since attendance has been so low. <br />Family Ventures Baseball outing was extremely successful. They are looking <br />forward to a new look for the Art Show which will be at the Mayfield Regional <br />Library. The next meeting will be in September. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said they talked about parking of vehicles <br />on front lawn areas. (He quoted the applicable section of the code.) They also <br />discussed the sign ordinance. <br />Council President Fixler asked if they were discussing the consensus of whether a <br />sign like the Ostendorf-Morris sign that came before Council would have been <br />acceptable. <br />Mr. Basile said no, they weren't. <br />Council President Fixler asked if they were looking at a reversal of colors--or is that <br />premature. <br />Mr. Basile said that is premature. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Ferrante said they met prior to the Council Meeting this <br />evening. They discussed the Village Park of Mayfield (Aintree Park Apartments)-- a <br />variance was requested for the construction of a ground sign on S.O.M. Center on <br />Aintree Park Drive. They voted yes 4-2. They voted yes on the request for approval <br />of a new clubhouse and pool to replace the existing ones. They approved the request <br />for an overall site parking due to an increase in size in the Clubhouse. The <br />Commission discussed Deacon's Chrysler-Plymouth request for rezoning the lots <br />and members unanimously voted no. Mr. Koren proposed lot realignment--he <br />thinks they will just postpone the vote because it is going to be re-voted on. For the <br />Home Bank sign variance which reverses the coloring of the sign--dark letters on a <br />white background which is against our ordinance--was voted unanimously no.
