314 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />S/21/95 <br />Page 4 <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said they met on the 10th. A couple of <br />decks and a home were approved. <br />Board of Appeals -Mr. Samac said they met this evening to consider three variance <br />requests for a new dwelling on Worton Park. Two of the requests were denied-- that <br />centered around the overall square footage of the house and side yard setback <br />requirements; the issue that was approved was the orientation of the garage door <br />facing the street. <br />Cemetery - Mr. Buckholtz said he passed out a flier to everyone. They will hold an <br />event on Labor Day, September 4, at 11 a.m.--they will dedicate the new sign and <br />flagpole. They have invited the Garden Club, Historical Society, the V.F.W. who <br />will be providing a color guard and a bugler; they have invited Highland Heights, <br />Mayfield Heights and Gates Mills. Mr. Buckholtz said they have invited Gates Mills <br />to come into the Cemetery Committee. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mayor Rinker said they will be meeting next month. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa said the Commissioner on Aging sent the <br />following message: The trip to Wooster for Ohio Light Opera was a big success. The <br />next big trip will be to New Wilmington, Pennsylvania on October 11 for a visit to <br />the "Old Order Amish" which is quite different from the Amish of Holmes County. <br />The Flu Shot Program will be Monday, October 30 from 1-3:30 p.m. in the <br />Community Room. The cost remains at $5 per person. Those who have Medicare <br />Part B pay nothing. Pre-registration is Friday, September 22 from 1-3 p.m. and <br />Thursday, September 28 from 9-11 a.m. Their last picnic is August 22. The <br />Thursday bocce program now includes shuffleboard. Cards and crafts continue to <br />meet on alternate Tuesdays with a few variations because of scheduling. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Busa said they had an informal meeting due to lack of <br />attendance from Mrs. Cinco and Mr. Pasile; only one department heads made a <br />request. He asked the Chair have Gus explain his i.ntentions about the drainage <br />problems at the bocce court. <br />Mr. Amendola said before we put in the grass, we must stop all the water that is <br />running down the deep end of the parking lot. The only way we can do it is by the <br />placement of a catch basin and curbing. <br />Mayor Rinker suggested we amplify the curbing there to include some type of <br />planter. <br /> <br /> <br />
