350
Regular. .Council Meeting :
9/18/95
Page 4
Mr. Basile asked if the street is deteriorated by their trucks if it will be their
responsibility.
Mayor Rinker said it will be their responsibility.
Mr. Cappello said the contractor videotaped the street. He will find out about
diverting the trucks down another street that has been videotaped.
Mayor Rinker said let's make sure we get a good status report.
Legal - Mr. Diemert said he received today a letter from the Sanitary Engineer and
the County Prosecutor on the North County Line Sewer Trunk agreement. They
have some changes on the agreement we drafted; he will need to go over it with the
Finance Director. D.O.P.W.I.C. has approved the transfer to Cuyahoga County and it
is contingent on this agreement being entered into, so he would like it expedited.
Mr. Diemert said he asked that an ordinance relative to N.E.O.R.S.D. be included on
tonight's agenda. N.E.O.R.S:D. believes they have now complied with all of the
terms of the settlement agreement. The lawsuit goes back many years. He addressed
Mayor Rinker and Council and said if you approve of dismissing the case now, that
legislation is on the agenda.
Mr. Diemert said at the Mayor's request he wrote to B.F.I. about their notice of a 9%
increase reminding them of the contract, but he has not yet received a response.
Fire - Chief Mohr said the Fire Station is 18% completed as of Friday. This
Wednesday they are bringing in a crane. By the second week in November, he
hopes it will be completely under roof.
Chief Mohr reported the Fire Department will be flushing hydrants in October.
Finance - Mr. Brett said he would like Council to consider passing legislation in title
this evening for Hygrade Painting.
Activities Committee - Mayor Rinker said they had a meeting the other night and
are wrapping things up for the summer. We received good fee.dback on the
concerts. We are getting ready for the holidays. We are finding we can use more
volunteers on the Activities-Committee. He asked everyone to let their neighbors
know. It is a good way for them to get their feet wet in assisting the Village.
