In all likelihood, any kind of work that we do is going to be for less than
100-year unless we can add design features. He said we can't pass on any more
dollars on this thing. The Village proper is going to have to contribute to that cost
exclusively. So, we need to know exactly what we will be talking about.
?
?LD susll?i?s? ?
,
Aintree Park Street Lighting! - Mayor Rinker said this came up last fall. One
resident felt we needed to add lighting to that area and has been attentive to the
matter. We asked Lt. Jay's opinion and he favored increasing the lighting. We sent
around a flier to residents in that area and there was no strong voice one way or
another. As we scoped this out further, we found that the cost we would be facing
and the trenching work was ;pretty substantial. Recently, he has had a number of
residents in that area following up and asking what we are going to do on it. He
asked Tom to make sure Council had a good overview on this in their packets. He
would like to hear some discussion from. Council on this. If there is a strong
response from the neighborhood from a negative vote, we can always come back to
it. This is a cost-benefit decision we must make and he would like it discussed
before they make a decision;one way or another tonight.
?
Mrs. Cinco said she thinks 8poles is quite a lot. Maybe once I-271 is lit up, they
won't have that problem. She would like to wait and see; she thinks it is a bit more
than any of us anticipated. Mrs. Cinco said she thinks if there were a history of
problems--and asked Chief Stevens if there was an activity that warrants security.
;
Chief Stevens said there are'no major trends in crime to report that have been
caused by darkness. ;
Council President Fixler said he will not ask for a vote since it was the consensus of
Council to leave it on the ba&burner for now.
i
?
