There
was a consensus to go ahead with Brandstetter Carroll Zofcin. They are the pros when it comes
to dealing with pools and recreational design. If the assumption is that maybe we don't want to
rush into a pool, he would guard against thinking we are putting the cart before the horse. This is
an outfit that can start getting more specific information and help us get feedback internally and
think in terms of site development. Already we ha.ve them keyed into working with URS
Greiner in scoping out the best way to design and deal with the terrain. We are looking at two
different locations that are possible. We wanted an overall recreational development plan. He
thought we looked at the pool as an anchor to it. Everyone received the flow sheet.. If we are
serious about building a pool, we must get things lined up so we can go out for bid by the end of
the summer. I-le wonders what we are waiting for.
Council President Fixler said even if we wanted to, change our mind, according to Roberts Rules
he has no mechanism to bring this item back. His understanding was we were going to wait
that there was no hurry on it.
Mr. Buckholtz sa.id he had hurried up ta put together information so it could be passed tonight. It
was discussed in the Finance Committee but Bill had mentioned there was nothing to vote on.
Mr. Marquardt said he. didn't know we had an ordinance.
