Special Council Meeting <br />8-24-98 <br />Page 4 <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 98-30; entitled; "An ordinance to provide for the <br />issuance and sale of $4,475,000 of notes of Mayfield Village, Ohio, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds to pay costs of acquiring certain real estate together with the existing <br />buildings and other structures located thereon and any related equipment and certain <br />other real estate for recreational purposes, and declaring an emergency." Introduced by <br />Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills <br />and Dr. Parker <br />NAYS: Mr. Busa and Mr. Fixler <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 98-30. <br />Mr. Brett presented the Fiscal Officer's Certificate to Council. He said this gives the <br />general parameters of the note issue. <br />Mr. Busa questioned if the content of the ordinance has been reviewed by the Finance <br />Committee and the Law Director. <br />Mr. Brett said the notes are being rolled over--they are previously issued notes from last <br />year. The Village Law Director did not get involved; our bond counsel prepared this <br />ordinance and fiscal officer's certificate.
