There were 12 items of <br />discussion. (The agenda is attached to the minutes.) The Committee recommended approval of <br />items 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. They aze getting further- information about items 6, 7, .and 8. Re item #9, <br />they recommend advertising for bids for the Folice Department's year 2000 fleet. requirements. <br />They recommended item #11. They will look for more information on item #12. <br />Mr. Metzung said (re item #12), the original bid was $305 per foot; the new estimate is $290 per <br />foot. For $1,000.00, it would be worth checking into the trex wood. <br />Hillcrest Council ofCouncils -Mrs. Cinco said they will be meeting..Saturday, October 2 at <br />Landerhaven. The speakers are from the Red Cross and the County Commissioners. <br />Historical Society -Mrs. Mills said the Saturday work crew has resumed work on the log cabin <br />and the schoolhouse. The annual Ice Cream Social was a huge success. We had the largest <br />turnout we ever had. There were many first-time visitors which she attributed to the nice signs <br />the Village had made. The winner of the quilt was Nancy Rozell. <br />M.A.R.C. Mrs. Cinco said they met September 2. The MBA program was discussed. The <br />annual Art Show will be held October 10-30. A reception will be held October 17. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting last month. <br />Planning and Zoning -Mrs. Mills said they met last evening. They recommended approval of <br />the following: <br />^ . A special use permit for 730 S.O.M. There is no variance needed. Mr. Panzica can't be at <br />the Caucus but he will be at the October 18 meeting. <br />^ An addition to the Mausoleum at 615 S.O.M. Center Road <br />^ SiteBuilding Plan Approval for the Progressive Data Building at 300 North Commons <br />Boulevard <br />^ An amendment to the Codified Ordinances r-e parking on front lawns -Section 351.351.13 <br />^ (An amendment to the Codified Ordinances re neon signs -Section 1185.06 (c) <br />Recreation Boazd - Mr. Buckholtz said the Board met eazlier this month and finalized plans for <br />the Pazkview Playground which will be presented to Council next month. They also discussed <br />upcoming events: Halloween Painting and the youth and student parties on October 30. The <br />Recreation Director is planning winter programs. Anyone with suggestions, should contact any <br />member of the Recreation Board or the Recreation Director. The Boazd also worked on goals for <br />next yeaz and a mission statement. They also worked on some communication controls. The <br />Parks and Recreation Director will now be copying the Recreation Board with anything he sends <br />to Council. <br />
