1 <br />t ^ <br />Chief Stevens stated the new law takes effect on March 16. In the absence <br />of a-Village ordinance it takes effect by State Code and the monies from <br />fines and violations will go to the State. <br />Ordinance 83-6 given first reading. <br />Ordinance 83-7, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUANCE OF <br />$800,000 OF BONDS OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING <br />FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SERVICE BUILDING AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS <br />THEREFOR, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Council President <br />Vince J. Busa. <br />Mr. Busa asked Mr. Toth to explain the ordinance. <br />Mr. Toth said he had no explanation, the ordinance had been discussed by the <br />Finance Committee and the decision was up to Council. <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mr. Etzler, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mrs. Bloom, made a motion to pass Ordinance 83-7. <br />NAYS: None <br />Mr. Busa asked if there was any discussion. <br />There was none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Resolution 83-3, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CUYAHOGA SAVINGS AS A <br />DEPOSITORY FOR INTERIM FUNDS OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, FOR THE TWO YEAR <br />PERIOD COMMENCING WITH THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS RESOLUTION, AUTHORIZING <br />DEPOSITORY AGREEMENTS WITH SAID INSTITUTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Introduced by Mayor Robert G. Beebe. <br />Mr. Toth.said depository agreements are coming up in April and we will be <br />advertising for them. Separate resolutions will not be necessary and he <br />recommends we wait until that time because one ordinance will cover all <br />depository agreements. <br />
