85 <br /> Hillcrest Council of Councils.- Mrs. Bloom explained the Hillcrest Fire Chiefs <br /> Association would like a resolution adopted recognizing their organization which <br /> is similar to the SPAN organization of the Police Departments. This is necessary <br /> for them to be abl e to participate in group purchasing etc. The Law Director <br /> of South Euclid is preparing a resol ution which will be identical for all nine <br /> communities that a re members of the Hillcrest Council of Councils. <br />Chief Hejcl's May 19 letter to Mayor Beebe further explains the specific need <br />for this resolution. Council will act on the resolution when it is received. <br /> <br />Cemetery - Mr. Etzler reported the Cemetery Committee met Saturday, May 13, at <br />the cemetery. Mrs. Margaret Riedel was again appointed treasurer. Their bank <br />balance is $708.00. Their Trust Fund balance is $1,014.70. The Village has <br />already paid their annual $300.00 dues. No other meetings are scheduled this year. <br />M.A.R.C. - There was no report. <br />Planning and.Zoning - Mr. Carmen said they.met June 6 and earlier this evening. <br />The Commission recommends a Special: Use.Permit be granted to Barbara DeWilde <br />to conduct her business as a Real Estate Appraiser from the basement of 865 <br />S.O.M. Center. The resolution establishes certain restrictions and the permit <br />would be granted.for a period of one year. <br />The parking variance for Georgian Center was discussed. The Commission unanimously <br />recommends that Council'grant the variance of one space for every 200 square feet. <br />Approval was given for the final construction plans that were submitted for the <br />Georgian Office Center, subject to the approval of the variance request. <br />The Commission discussed the lot split for Lander Road. <br />They also discussed the request from the L.N. Gross Company to hold a weekend <br />for retail sales on Beta Drive. They may be inclined to be in favor of the <br />idea if others on Beta show an interest. <br />Recreation - Mrs. Bloom reported on the Recreation Committee Meeting of June 14. <br />A"Furi Ruri" is being planned for September 25. Gary:Easter was hired to organize <br />the run. <br />Softball has started and is doing well. <br />Thirteen youngsters have signed up for the Summer Playground Program at Center <br />School. <br />A Teen Dance is being considered to be held this Summer or Fall. <br />They are trying to.locate a treadmill for the Home Days float and asked if <br />anyone could be of assist. .. <br />The fields behind Center School have been improved. The plaques that were in the Village Hall Council Chambers are going to be updated. <br />
