F <br />He welcomed his secretary, Donna Heath,.back from vacation. <br />He said Finance Director, Steve Toth, was put on the Dean's List at Cleveland <br />State where he carries straight A's in Finance. • <br />Nancy Plastine has agreed to act as the resident for the Record's Commission. <br />They will set up a meet.ing shortly. <br />House.numbers were recently painted on the curbs on ir7ildwood. The painters <br />were soliciting without a permit and defacing Village property. He asked that <br />Council contact the Mayor's Office or the Police Department if they should <br />see anything like this. It affects the aesthetics of the Village, most numbers <br />are painted on mailboxes, many streets do not have curbs. During the snow season <br />the numbers will not be seen. <br />The Village has a major skunk problem this year. He is working with the Park <br />Board but must get approual from the State Department of Natural Resources of <br />an acceptable way to get rid of them. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br />Mr. Busa had no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Amendola reported the Service Department has completed the removal of <br />grass and bark from the freeway section. All Village streets except Beta <br />Drive, have had their f irst coat of crack filling and asphalt work, some may <br />require a.second filling. The Service Department personnel cooperated in <br />Village Days and the Flea Market held the past two weekends at the Service <br />Building. <br />Mr. Toth said he gave Council a copy of the income tax collections up to <br />date. He noted we will be purchasing the Savin copy machine which we have <br />been leasing for 3 years for approximately $600.00. He feels Council should <br />review the pay ordinance as he would like to see overtime and sick time <br />included in the ordinance. <br />Chief Hejcl reported the Fire Department has finished flushing and oiling <br />hydrants and they are in the process of repainting some of them. Iie found <br />three hydrants out of service. He noted the City of Cleveland replaced a <br />hydrant for the f irst time in 30 yearse <br />Mr. Feneli said he reviewed the two bids received for recodification of the <br />Codif.ied Ordinances from the Justinian Company and the Walter H: Drane Company. <br />The bids were almost identical. He recommended that because Walter Drane Co. <br />did the last update, and our books are by the Walter Drane system, the bid from <br />Walter Drane Co. be approved. <br />Mr. Busa asked if Council wanted to act on this subject this evening.
