127 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution 83-20, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO TqE WALTER.. <br />DRANE COMPANY FOR UPDATE OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES." <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr: Spellma.n, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a.resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: A11 <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Spellman, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to adopt Resolution 83-20 <br />in title. <br />Ro11 Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />(in title oitly) <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported he will be attending a.preeonstruetion conference for <br />the upgrading and improvement of I-271. He will report to Council. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Safety & Service Committee - Mr. Spellma.n said Safety &Service did not meet <br />this month. He requested a.meeting be scheduled for the 2nd Thursday in <br />September at 7:30 p.m. He asked that Department Heads attend this meeting. <br />Finance_Committee - Mr. Spellinan said.he reported on their last meeting last <br />month. Their next meeting is scheduled for August 26 but he would like to <br />schedule another meeting as soon as possible since Mr. Toth will be on vacation <br />on the 26th. ' Architectural Review Board -.Mr: Amendola said the Architectural Review.Board <br />met on July 21. They discussed three proposals; a room, a new single.family <br />dwelling on Beeā¢cher's Brook, and the Georgian Center office complex. The <br />Board approved the drawings.fo.r Georgian Center which had been,reviewed by the <br />Village architect and the Building Depa.rtment. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said they granted a variance for a tliree car <br />garage at 479 Hickory Hill. The variance is conditional on the owner of the <br />house attaching it.to his house to avoid any encroachment on the 40 foot rear <br />yard set back. , <br />Community Room Committee - Mrs. Hanus reported Village Days ancl:.the Flea Market <br />were held the past two weekends. She expressed thanks to the Service Department <br />for their help and the use of the ServiceBuilding, and to the Police and Fire <br />Departments for their help: She does not have a f inancial report at this time <br />but will report at ttie next Council meeting. They were disappointed in the turn <br />out of people at Village Days.
