1?^ <br />Mr. Busa said Mr. Henwood should stop in the Village Hall to see a copy of the <br />ordinance passed by Council regarding this. <br />Mr. Don Vogel, 6830 Seneca Road, said he gave Council copies of the letter he <br />read to the Assessment Equalization Board earlier this evening and asked that <br />they consider it before making their decision regarding the Beech Hil1 paving. <br />Mr. Bob Fetzer, 899 Beech Hill Road, said he got a proposal from the Cleveland <br />Trinidad Paving Company for the paving of Beech Hill Road. Their proposal is <br />approximately $40,000.00 which is considerably lower than the price estimated <br />by Mr. Hovancsek. He asked that Council consider the proposal..from Cleveland <br />Trinidad Paving. Also, he requested that whatever road is decided upon by <br />Council, that it be a road accepted for.maintenance by the Village and that <br />the ordinance specify such. He submitted copies of the proposal to Council. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said he had looked at that proposal and it was not satisfactory. <br />It would not be a road he would advise Council,to accept for maintenance. <br />Mrs. Mary Burns, 6823 Glenview Road, said she is opposed to the increase in <br />her assessment from.one half to three quarters for the paving of Beech Hill Road. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular Meeting of Council - August 15, 1983 - Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, <br />made a motion to accept the minutes. <br />Roll Ca11: AYES: AlI Minutes Approved. ? <br />NAYS: None As Written <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br />Mayor Beebe said John Lisy, the new full-time firef ighter is present to be sworn <br />in. <br />Mr. Feneli administered the Oath of Off ice to Mr. Lisy. <br />Mayor Beebe said Mr. Harold Rassau, Chairman of the Assessment Equalization Board, <br />was just taken to the hospital before the.Council Meeting. <br />Mayor Beebe asked Part-Time Police Officer Ken Whitmer to give the presentation <br />on the Police Auxiliary Unit being given to the Police Department by the <br />Auxiliary Police. <br />Ken Whitmer said the Auxiliary Police would like to donate the video taping <br />equipment, displayed in the Council Chambers, to the Police Department. They <br />also would like to present a check to the Commu-ity Room Committee. These <br />contributions were made possible by the sale of the '83 Entertainment Books. <br />He presented the Community Room check to Mrs. Hanus. <br />Sgt. Jack Jay thanked the Auxiliary Police for the donation. The Police <br />Department plans to initiate a Village-wide crime prevention program. The <br />video equipment will be used for this program, for training, etc.
