153 <br />Mr. Busa asked for comments from the audience. <br />There were none. <br />Mr. Feneli said Council must appoint a new Assessment Equalization Board at <br />the time they make a formal motion rejecting.the report of estimated assessments <br />of the Equalization Board. <br />Mr. Carmen thinks it is Councils responsibility to repair Beech Hill one last <br />time since the work cannot begin until next year. <br />Mr. Busa said he feels it is their moral responsibility to do so. <br />Council agreed to act on this'resolution at the next Council Meeting. <br />Mr. Stan Cotman, 971 Beech Hill Road - said he feels the Beech Hill residents <br />would.like to see their cost for paving reduced. He feels money would be <br />saved by paving the street as other Village streets, not as the plans specify, <br />which he feels are too extravagant. <br />Mr. Hovancsek explained that the plans were drawn to meet the Village code. <br />Mr. Busa noted the next several items on the agenda have been taken care of <br />already. <br />Resolution 83-21, entitled; "A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING AND ACCEPTING THE RECENT <br />PAY INCREASE AWARDED BY THE'MAYFIELD BOARD OF EDUCATION TO MAYFIELD VILLAGE POLICE <br />OFFICERS SUPERVISING THE PARKING LOT AT MAYFIELD HIGH SCHOOL AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Beebe and Council as a Whole. <br />This resolution was tabled on September 19. Mr. Toth and Mr. Feneli will <br />discuss the payment for Worker's Compensation prior to further discussion. <br />Resolution 83-21 to remain tabled. <br />Resolution 83-23, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A LEAF <br />VACUUM ON AN EMERGENCY BASIS AND DECLARING•AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by <br />Councilman Fred N. Carmen. <br />Mr. Busa said he objected to Mr. Carmen introducing this legislation, and felt <br />it should be introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Carmen said he checked with the Law Direct,or and it was acceptable. <br />Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. Carmen, made a motion to suspend the, rules of <br />Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Mr. Busa asked if there was any discussion. <br />There was none.
