P? <br />I- <br />Finance - Councilman Etzler stated the Finance Committee met this evening <br />prior to the Council Meeting. He stated that according to Fire Chief <br />Hejcl, there would be a substantial savings if the jaws of life were <br />purchased in the near future. He reported the Finance Committee finds <br />that money is available for the purchase. Mr. Etzler said that discussion <br />will be held on the f inal appropriations starting with the Finance Meeting <br />of February 8th. He stated that all of Council is invited to attend. <br />Mr. Etzler stated there will be a Finance Meeting on Monday, January 25 <br />at 7:00 P.M. <br />Mr. Feneli questioned if the Hurst jaws would be a bid item which would <br />require authorization for advertising. <br />Council President Spellman stated the matter will be discussed further at <br />the February Caucus. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Commissioner Amendola stated the Architectural <br />Review Board will not be meeting until Thursday and a report will be <br />available for the next Council Meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Commissioner Amendola stated there was no requirement <br />for the Board of Appeals to meet this month. <br />Mayfield Union Cemetery - Councilman Busa stated there is no report. <br />Community Room Committee - Councilwoman Hanus stated they held a meeting <br />on January 6th and prepared the agenda for the following year. She <br />reported a new profit of $288.50 was made from the sale of Christmas tr.ees. <br />She read the agenda for 1982 as follows: <br />Swap Meet April 18 <br />Garage Sale April 24 & 25 <br />Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast May 9th <br />Home Days August 7& 8 <br />Swap Meet August 15 <br />Turkey Raffle November 20 <br />Mrs. Hanus stated the Committee would like these events to become annual <br />affairs. She stated other functions being considered are the sale of <br />Christmas trees (on our own), a dance and a fish..fry. <br />Council President Spellman requested to be advised of the next meeting of <br />the Community Room Committee so that he may attend. He stated he feels <br />that "matching funds" is a good idea and he would like Chairman Etzler <br />to discuss the matter at the next Finance Meeting. <br />P-?
