14 <br />Hillcrest Council of Counc,ils - Council President Spellman stated the <br />next meeting will be on January 27, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. which will be ' <br />their first meeting in 1982. <br />Firemen's Dependents Fund - Councilman Flynn stated a meeting was held <br />on Thursday evening with two firemen, two Council members and one <br />citizen representative. <br />Mayfield Area Recreatibnal'Council; Inc. - Council President Spellman <br />stated the M.A.R.C. met January 7tyh. He stated he is on the nominating <br />committee to select the new Chairperson next February. <br />Planning and Zoning Commission - Councilman Carmen stated they held a <br />meeting prior to this Council Meeting. He stated the Commission elected <br />Robert Schulte as their new Chairmano Mr. Carmen reported a Workshop will <br />be held on January 28th, the two items to be discussed being the Julius <br />Paris proposal and a variance on a dentists office. <br />Recreation Board - Councilman Carmen stated the Recreation Board has not <br />yet met this month. Council President Spellman stated the Recreation <br />Chairman (Al Scaccia) was present in the audience. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Council President Spellman stated he would like Council to recess into <br />Executive Session to discuss certain financial legislation with Squires, <br />Sanders and Dempsey. He asked Department Heads for closing comments, <br />stating they did not have to remain. <br />There were no comments from Department Heads. <br />Council went into Executive Session at 8:38 P.M. <br />Council reconvened at 9:28 P.M. <br />Ordinance 82-3, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH <br />ARMSTRONG FINANCIAL CONSULTANTS, INC., REPEALING ORDINANCE NOS. 81-22 <br />AND 81-31 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by the Mayor.and <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Carmen, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Council President Spellman asked if there were any comments for discussion <br />regarding this ordinance. <br />There were none. <br />?
