<br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Busa stated the Hillcrest Council of Councils is researching the possibility <br />of group purchasing police cars. <br />Mr. Feneli stated there are problems with that as most cities cannot agree on <br />the specif ications and suggested Chief Stevens contact other municipalities <br />to compare specifications to see if this would be a feasible possibility for <br />future purchases. <br />Council President Spellman stated the Police Department plans to purchase a <br />car this Spring and another car in the fall. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Council agreed to table the motions made and to obtain more information and the <br />specifications and to discuss the matter at the next Council Meeting. <br />Council President Spellman stated Mr. Feneli and Chief Stevens have been <br />discussing increasing the speed limit on Beta Drive from 25 m.p.h. to 35 m.p.h. <br />Mr. Feneli stated he had discussed this with Chief Stevens and they had agreed <br />the street did not qualify for a 35 m.p.h. speed limit. He will contact Chief <br />Stevens to see why he resubmitted this request. He stated Safety & Service.made <br />no comment regarding this. <br />Council President Spellman said Safety & Service did not meet frequently in <br />1981 and he will give it to them for discussion. <br />Mr. Busa commented he did not feel the speed limit should be raised because of <br />the great number of handicapped persons who use the street. <br />Mr. Feneli to check with Chief Stevens to see why this request was resubmitted. <br />Mrs. Ruggles stated she is preparing the ordinance appropriating funds for 1982 <br />and it will be in Councils packet Friday. <br />Mr. Amendola asked for comments from Council regarding the request of the <br />Historical 5ociety to purchase the Highland Heights City Hall building. <br />Council did not feel this was a worthwhile project. <br />Mr. Amendola stated recommendations have been sent to Council by the <br />Architectural Review Board, that Council give some consideration to the <br />master plan that would take care of the future municipal buildings on the <br />corner of S.O.M. and Wilson Mills and to prepare as soon as possible a <br />review for the architect to make the drawings for the remodeling of the <br />Fire Department and for the Community Room. <br />J
