r? ?° ? ;? OLD BUSINESS Ordinance 82-17, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 82-5, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by the Mayor?and Council as a Whole. Council President Spellman stated.Council has received copies of "Schedule B", uniform allowance for part time police officers which is a part of Resolution 82-17, asking if Council wished to place the resolution on second reading or consider it for passage this evening. Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mrs. Bloom, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Etzler, seconded by Mr. Carmen, ma.de a motion to adopt Resolution 82-17. Council President Spellman asked Council if there were.any comments for discussion regarding this resolution. , Mr. Etzler commented he felt the wording of the uniform allowance and maintenance schedule should be clarified, as to the purchase of items by the Village. He said those items already purchased for an Auxiliary Police Officer should not be re-purchased for a Part Time Police Officer. Discussion was held. Mr. Feneli to correct the wording in the ordinance after the section that reads, "in the event that such officer is employed as.a full time police officer for another municipality,.." ad -"or has previously served as a Mayfield Village Auxiliary Police Officer" ... "and by reason thereof has already purchased...". Council President Spellman recommended Council place the resolution on second reading and the amended resolution could be conside.red for passage at the April 19 Regular Meeting. Council President Spellma.n, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to remove the motion to adopt Resolution 82-17 from the floor. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Busa, Spellman, Mrs. Bloom and Mrs. Hanus NAYS: Messrs., Carmen, Etzler Motion Carried Resolution 82-17 given second reading.
