94 <br />Council President Spellman asked if there were any comments for discussion <br />regarding this ordinance. <br />Mr. Flynn stated we have saved alot of money because of.the fantastic <br />amount of ground work done on the drawings by Gus Amendola. <br />Mrs. Hanus stated Mr. Amendola deserves a vot.e of thanks and.appreciation. <br />Mrs. Bloom left the meeting at this time (9:5.0). Council President Spellman <br />stated that three Council members had left without consent.. They could be <br />held in contempt. He stated there is a quorum, but the rules cannot be <br />suspended without f ive members of Council. <br />Discussion was held regarding Ordinance 82-29. Mr. Feneli stated the <br />proper procedure was to place the ordinance on first reading. <br />Ordinance 82-29 given f irst reading. <br />Firemen`s Dependents Fund - Mr. Flynn stated there was no need for a meeting. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Busa stated there has been no meeting <br />to report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Council President Spellman stated there was no report. <br />Planning & Zoning - Council President Spellman stated Mr. Carmen.was not <br />present to report. <br />Recreation - Council President Spellman stated the Recreation Director is <br />in the audience asking if he had any comments. Mr. Al Scaccia said he <br />thinks Mr. Amendola will be getting clay for the fields and the back stops <br />have been received and will be put up. He said funds are needed.for the <br />clay. <br />Mr. Amendola stated the funds used for the clay should not come from the <br />Service Department budget and Council President Spellman agreed. <br />Chief Stevens said during softball season off-duty officers will be needed <br />to provide traff ic and security detail, stating these funds should not <br />come from the Police Department budget. , <br />Council President S.pellman stated the matter will be taken up at a later <br />time. <br />Viacom Installation Progress <br />Mr. Amendo]_a stated Viacom will not be permitted to make any further <br />installations of cable television in the Village until they have corrected <br />the poor installations already made.
