Introduced by <br />Mayor Robert G. Beebe. <br />Council President Spellman stated Ordinance 82-25 is on second_reading. <br />Ordinance 82-28, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPALITY <br />TO PARTICIPATE WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IN THE <br />RESURFACING OF SR-91 (S.O.M. Center Road) AS HEREINWITH DESCRIBED9 <br />APPROPRIATING THE NSCESSARY FUNDS THEREOF AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Introduced by the Mayor and Council as a Whole. <br />Council President Spellman stated Ordinance 82-28 is on first reading. <br />Mr. Hovancsek suggested Council put Ordinance 82-28 on their agenda <br />for the next meeting as it is ur'gent that it is passed. <br />Council President Spellman stated that will be taken into consideration <br />and everyone will be informed. <br />Ordinance 82-17, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 82-5, REPEALING <br />' ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced <br />by the Mayor and Council as.a Whole. <br />Council President Spellman stated this ordinance is on third reading and <br />only four votes are required for passage, asking for comments. <br />Mr. Busa asked if Mr. Etzler had discussed this with Chief Stevens and if <br />an agreement had been reached. <br />Chief Stevens stated he is in disagreement with portions of the ordinance. <br />Mrs. Hanus suggested Council not consider this ordinance for passage this <br />evening. <br />Council President Spellman stated Ordinance 82-17 is tabled. <br />Resolution 82=22, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RETENTION OF <br />THE PORTLAND CEMENT ASSOCIATION AS AN EXPERT WITNESS IN PENDING LITIGATION, <br />AND DECLAR.ING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by the Mayor and Council as a <br />Whole. <br />Council President Spellma.n stated this resolution is on third reading. <br />Mr. Feneli explained the figures in.the ordinance he gave Council tonight <br />do not include compensation for Steve Hovancsek, they are only for the <br />Portland Cement Corporation. He does not recall the figures being that <br />high and suggests before Council makes a commitment for that amount of <br />money, that this be discussed further with Mr. Avery.
