J_ 66 PdEW BUSINESS Resolution 82-46, entitled; "A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE PASSAGE OF HOUSE BILL N0. 722 PRESENTLY Pr,NDING BEFORE THE 114th GENEI?AL ASSEMBLY IN COLIJP2BUS, OHIO." Introduced by Council President Michael W. Spellman. Council President Spellman read the resolution explaining it is opposing the minimum jail stand ards. Highland Heights recently adopted a similar resolution. Chief Stevens said he concurred with the resolution and felt it was worthwhile. Mayor Beebe stated this subject has been discussed at several Mayors and City Managers Meetings. He said most communities have introduced similar legislation and he hopes Council passes this resolution. In discussion oaith Mayor Hughes of Highland Heights he learned they are building six or seven cells and there is a possibility we will be routing our prisoners there, when completed.. Council President Spellman, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. Council President Spellman asked if there were any comments for discussion. There were none. Council President Spellman asked if there were any comments for discussion. Mrs. Bloom stated.she.felt the resolution should be introduced by the Mayor and Council as a j+Thole. Mr. Spellman agreed; the resolution to be changed to be introduced by the Mayor and Council as a Whole. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Resolution Adopted Ordinance 82-47, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING TRANSOHIO SAVINGS AS A DEPOSITORY FOR INTERIM FUNDS OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, FOR THE TWO (2) YEAR PERIOD COMMENCING JULY l, 1952, AUTHORIZING DEPOSITORY AGRELNIENTS WITH SAID INSTITUTION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by the Mayor and Council as a tidhole.
