1_ 80 <br />Council President Sp.ellman asked if Mrs. kuggles or Mr. Toth had any <br />comments.regarding Finance. <br />Mr. Toth stated, regarding the replacement of Eloise Maynard when she <br />r.etires, he wishes to advise Council after talking to Nlrs. Maynard and <br />Mayor Beebe he has asked Mrs. Maynard to continue part time. She wiil <br />still retire, but as she has agreed to work part time, the Village will <br />be saving money. <br />Architectural'Review'Board - Mr. Amendoia said the Architectural Review <br />Board will meet this Thursday, July 22, if necessary. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement for a <br />Board of Appeals IrIeeting this monthm <br />Community Room - Council President Spellman said Village Days will be <br />August 7th and 8th. The Flea Market is August 15. He said Flea Market <br />spaces are $10.00 dona.tion. Mayor Beebe said no spaces have been sold <br />at this point. <br />Firemens Dependents Fund - Mre Flynn said there was no need for a meeting <br />this month.. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Busa said there is no.report. <br />Cemetery - Mr. Busa said there is no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Council President Spellman said there was no meeting this month. <br />The next meeting is August 5th at 8:00 p.m. at the School Aclministration <br />Building. <br />Planning & Zoning - Mr, Carmen reported the CommitLee received a request for <br />a pool and discussion was held on rear yard drainage. The contractor was <br />given permission to draw up the plans and specif ications. If there should be <br />a problem with Lhe specif ications he will have to ask for a variance at that <br />time. "Beta Days" (opening Beta-Park for retail sales) was discussed, and <br />the committee said they would not recommend this. He reported at the last <br />Special Council Meeting Council voted to have "Beta Days" one weekend per year. <br />He said it will probably be held the last weekend in August. The Friday night <br />prior to that will be open to Mayf ield Village residents only. Plans are <br />being made to make a special mailing of a card that would only give residents <br />access to the sale for that Friday night. Mr. Carmen said a Workshop Meeting <br />is scheduled for July 29 to discuss the parking variance request from Progressive <br />Insurance and the DeBartolo proposal. <br />Recreation - Mr. Carmen said there is no report. <br />Senior Citizen Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa said the Committee is moving <br />along well. He questioned how much money was allocated to the Commission <br />and how much has been spent.
